Prime Minister Kiril Petkov talked with the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron on the margins of the Sixth European Union-African Union (EU-AU) Summit in Brussels.
The two leaders discussed the latest Russia-Ukraine developments and agreed that diplomacy should be the path towards the de-escalation of tensions. In this context, Petkov and Macron expressed unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Bulgarian Prime Minister and the French President touched upon the European perspective for the Republic of North Macedonia and Albania.
Mr. Petkov and Mr. Macron also discussed the possibility for France to provide expertise for the modernisation of road and railway infrastructure in Bulgaria.
