Prime Minister Kiril Petkov met with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium Alexander De Croo in Brussels.
The two government leaders discussed Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine and the need for unity and coordination to ensure energy and economic independence and food security.
Prime Minister Kiril Petkov stressed the Government’s determination vis-à-vis the rule of law, anticorruption and independence of the Judiciary. Bulgaria’s accession to Schengen continues to be a strategic priority for the country.
Further, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and Prime Minister Alexander De Croo discussed the opportunities for the expansion of trade and economic relations, in particular in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
