Minister Kondeva is a Master of Medicine at the Sofia Medical University and a Master of Economics – Business Administration with specialization in Health Management at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia. She has specialized in „Internal Diseases“ and „Clinical Haematology“.
Since 2022, dr. Kondeva has been the Executive Director of the „Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Haematological Diseases“ JSC, in Sofia, having previously been the Chairman of the Board of Directors for two terms. She has many years of experience as a practicing physician – starting from 1987 at the Buhovo Workers' Hospital, and after 1995 – at the Gastroenterology Clinic at the Fifth Municipal Hospital – Sofia. Later she has been an assistant in the Department of Transfusion Haematology at the University General Hospital for Active Care and Emergency Medicine - ,,N.I. Pirogov" and a physician at the Haematology Clinic at the Tokuda Hospital, Sofia.
In the period 2017-2018, she was the director of the „Medicinal Products, Medical Devices, Prescription and Dispensing Control“ Directorate at the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), having previously held positions as department head, state representative in the Assembly of Representatives and a member of the Management Board of the NHIF.
Dr. Kondeva speaks English, Russian and French.
