The Bulgarian government will declare 18 March, tomorrow, a day of national mourning to express solidarity with the Republic of North Macedonia. This is what Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov said to journalists with regard to the tragedy in the town of Kočani.
At present, 14 individuals who were injured in the fire receive treatment in Bulgarian hospitals. Bulgaria has the potential to treat a greater number of victims. Prime Minister Rosen Jeliazkov stated that the Bulgarian authorities provided the transportation and accommodation for the relatives of the injured individuals so that they can be in contact with and support the injured. “There is no politicking in that; there is only compassion, empathy and solidarity. I believe that our nations will push away the hustle and bustle of everyday life so that we can stand united on this day,” the Prime Minister said further.
