Prime Minister Galab Donev met Maksim Acevski, Auditor General of the State Audit Office of the Republic of North Macedonia. The discussion in the Prime Minister’s Office was joined by Tzvetan Tzvetkov, President of the National Audit Office of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The meeting emphasized the importance of bilateral dialog and contacts between the two countries at various levels. Prime Minister Galab Donev welcomed the cooperation and exchange of good practices between the central audit institutions of Bulgaria and of the Republic of North Macedonia. The Prime Minister voiced a firm opinion that the spending of public funds should always be responsible and transparent. In the understanding of Prime Minister Galab Donev, control over the management of public resources is of key importance for the citizens’ trust in institutions.
